Heliopause

Dawn points, and another day
Prepares for heat and silence. Out at sea the dawn wind
Wrinkles and slides. I am here
Or there, or elsewhere. In my beginning.

Artist notes:

There is this recurring memory… blurred people moving across the picture. People slipping out of focus, marking only the instant of the photograph and the passing moment. Faces edged enough only to remind but not to remember, leaving traces strangely immortalised. Human life as movement. Movement in and out of focus, consciousness, memory, being. In and out of light and dark. Boundaries and expectations. The bounded edge of the photograph; the expectation of presence. Movement to and from. Places and spaces. A shoreline, a border, a mountain pass. Homes, houses, cities. A constant ebb and flow that takes place in populations and individuals, in slow unwavering time, synchronised only with the drift of the universe.
