Artist notes:

It seems to me that who we are is not necessarily what we do, or even what we are. Who is a presence, not a what. Who endures, resides, abides; who defies definition. It can only be. And how then to make account of being? Of the human figure as place, not object.

A familiar form of the human figure composed of unresolved spaces, suggestive of both materialising and dematerialising. The basic figure as a silhouette - a hint, a suggestion of a form. A presence coming in or out of focus - receding or returning - both are possibilities, both remain possibilities.

Between the world of the seen and the unseen, lies the sacred.
